M. A. Curfman is considered by his global client list to be one of the most inventive and transformative business trainers and coaches of our time. Mac’s brilliant straightforward style has become his trademark.
Mac is an in-demand professional speaker, trainer, and coach. Over the past sixteen years, he has presented more than 2,700 speeches and training sessions to global business and government audiences.
Mac has been an entrepreneur and a maverick thinker his entire career!
He is currently the founder and Chief Learning Evangelist of a global training and coaching firm. Mac is also the founder and Chief Coffee Guru of a specialty coffee roasting company and the Executive Director of a not-for-profit company doing leadership development work in West Africa, North Africa, and the Middle East.
Mac has built an illustrious and successful career by serving others! He has served as a senior consultant in a top national consulting firm and as the founder and CEO of a governmental advisory practice. He also spent a decade serving in government as a city manager and, before that, as an urban and regional planner.
M. A. Mac Curfman has earned a tremendous reputation as a go-to resource and as a non-conventional problem-solver. The breadth of his knowledge and experience in diverse industries, businesses, and government agencies has made him a unique asset to thousands of enthusiastic consulting, training, and coaching clients. In addition to his tremendous range, Mac's deep expertise includes leadership development, strategic thinking and planning, project management, sales and marketing, business and personal communication, and business writing.
In addition to his academic credentials from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Maine, he completed extensive coursework with Dale Carnegie® Training and has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a certified Entrepreneurship and Business Life Coach.
Mac has been married to his college sweetheart, Amanda, for 35 years, and they have two children. Their daughter is also an entrepreneur who owns her own wedding photography and marketing firm. Their son is attending university, double majoring in history and social studies education.
Well-traveled, Mac thrives in diverse cultures. He has traveled to and worked in 46 U.S. states/territories, and in countries on five continents. He regularly travels to and works in West Africa.
He loves roasting and drinking coffee, is an avid outdoorsman, and is a bibliophile (reading about 100 books a year).
Mac will shortly release his book titled “You Want Me to Manage a What?: A Rubber-Meets-the-Road Approach to Project Management.” He is working on his next book, “LEAD!: Important Actions of a Leader.”
